Camp Information

Date:  TBA
Time:  TBA
Location: WSU Alumni Turf Field
Cost: TBA

This camp is a great opportunity for all boys players, ages 14 and up, that are looking to receive training in a Division I College environment. Other college coaches have been invited to attend as well. Confirmation on those will be announced soon.

The camp will be focused on repetition of correct handling technique and footwork, this will reinforce the importance of making saves the right way. Proper handling is the foundation for goalkeepers and they cannot really progress at this position without a solid understanding of correct technique. Doing things the right way will be stressed throughout the camp by our coaches allowing for players to fully comprehend it's importance as they play.  Advanced level game situations will be topics of the sessions to prepare goalkeepers to perform when they return to their club and high school teams. Training sessions will be drawn from the curriculum and be executed in the same format as the Wright State men's goalkeepers perform.

Camp will be under the supervision of Wright State Men's Soccer Goalkeeper coach, Michael Flynn. Coach Flynn played collegiate soccer at the University of Cincinnati and then played professionally in the USL and PDL for 4 years playing with Cincinnati Kings, Nashville Metros, and the Seattle Sounders. After Michael was done playing, he served as the Director of Goalkeeping for Sky Soccer Club in Kentucky and Classics Eagles in Columbus, OH. He is currently the director of goalkeeping for Cincinnati United Premier, boy's state goalkeeper coach for Ohio South ODP, and assistant coach for Columbus Eagles of the WPSL. Michael has his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and his NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma.
